Can´t craft Fishing Rod

Why can´t i craft a fishing rod with 3 wood 1 iron and a rope? Do i need to find the recipe for it or is this a bug?

you can only craft it once a tech is unlocked, otherwise you can't craft it. It doesn't matter whether you know the recipe or not. Click on the tech tree on the right, you'll find it what other techs to unlock before that one.

in sandbox mode u can

I haven't tried sandbox mode yet, I don't know, but in that case, that's strange, does that mean that every tech is already unlocked? You could just click on tech tree, and see the recipe for yourself?

no u dont see it. u can unlock it if u put the items it needs on exact the right slot and it unlocks.

Well, you can always exit, and play on different save, and try the 1st world, and see the recipe for yourself. It is not that hard to unlock half way through on tech tree on 1st level world.

U can also use the unlocked tech tree setting. But it would be more comfortable if wiki page or another would be up to date^^
