How do I kill all the flying bugs?

Hello guys
In regular games I set up turrets on a bridge (on each side of base) and traps below, the bad guys drop like flies.
But just got Wonderwood DLC and all the flying bugs are killing me lol

They tend to go for doors, so multiple doors/loopholes along with a couple pets help. If there's a way in through leaves it can get overwhelming though. Definitely a level for the fireball hero.

I haven't really made much use of the traps yet. Admittedly I haven't experienced the full difficulty yet due to Santa gear.
