Cant get portal part recipe

i been siting here trying to figure out how to build the portal at the end of the first level. tried looking up where to get them some say you got to kill things so i killed everything on the map many times even the dragons and explored the whole map

and no its no i do not have it i have looked many many times

Are you in campaign mode?

yes i am about 12 hours in to i am currently digging out the whole world still waiting on these recipes

Hmm, I usually find the portal rooms by digging across the world about 50? blocks down. On the starter world I think this is about 20 blocks above the lava.

Has the game updated? Weird things have happened when you play on a game that you started in a previous version.

the game has not updated and i have cleared the whole map and its all visable just wondering if im missign somthing or its a glich

The recipes usually appear automatically in your Craft button, in the very end of the second page (where there is glass, nails etc). But there is usually no sign that you have some new recipes (at least for me). Have you checked that?

That is a good point. I got the impression Zepade had not run into the Guardians, but that is not clear from the original post.

i have looked many times to see if i have had it in every tab and its not there.

if it has spawned on the map it is dead

Did you fight the Guardians? Tall dudes with swords.

When you kill the guardians they're supposed to each drop a brightly-lit scroll which you click to pick up like you do skill books. Each of the 5 guardians supplies the recipe for one piece of the portal.

The portal piece recipes end up being put into a strange section of the Craft UI, in the 2nd category with refined items like locks or pots or rope, etc., at the very end, so they can be tricky to find sometimes.

If you can't find the crafting recipes there, and ur sure u've collected all the drops from the dead guardians, then you're likely experiencing a glitch or are playing a map you started too many updates ago, so you should make a bug report to the devs and start a new world, sry.

Wiping the old world and starting a fresh one will likely fix the issue for you. GL.
