Experience grind
When one reaches level 11 (having 11 dwarves), the grind to get the 12th dwarf takes very long.
Also, no matter how far one gets in the tech tree, the experience reward is always 20 XP.

In late games, 20 XP is close to nothing.

About mobs: I think that big monsters (such as Beholders, Goblin Leader etc...) should give more XP than a skeleton for example.
For now, each mob/animal gives only 40 XP.

Bottom line: so far, by grinding really hard, I was able to reach 12 dwarves, and each time I do, there's a new patch coming up, which means I start over (for compatibility purpose) :)

Do you have any plan on changing the gained XP?

I agree that XP gain should be increased by a bit later on as it takes far too long to get another dwarf. Either make us able to build something where our dwarves can grind XP or maybe potions that you can craft every X minutes? If not then just optimize the XP gain for tougher monsters.

You remind me that when the dwarves craft, they should get extra XP for doing so, it would be a nice plus.

@ iamaplayer: I suggested this already (post #324 in suggestion thread) and also mentioned it in the 0.9.015-thread because that would be a real great improvement - also would not matter which dwarf does which job and player can decide on its own if they become mage, swordsman or archer by equipping the weapon and can only become better if uses it. Same to other skills.
Maybe you can support this suggest somehow?

Yes we plan to give more XP for hard monsters and simplify the reaching of high player levels. It's exactly in our todo list.

can we have a higher number of dwarfs as well?? there is no enough of them running in a massive mine. There can be female dwarfs too to give birth to more dwarfs.

Though what is the standard look of a dwarf female? Also, wouldn't people go straight for breeding to create 'my little dwarf army'? That would be too op. It's good as it is but there needs to be an XP gain increase at later levels so you can gain more dwarfes faster.

Female dwarves look cute (no beard, just like a regular human woman).
There's a portrait in game that you can put on the wall, sometimes the portrait will feature a dwarf couple, see for yourself.

Edit: dwarf reproducing would be wonderful, of course birth would have to be very rare as to not make someone's army overpowered.

In the very good old game named "Beasts and Bumpkins", couples could have kids who would grow into adults. Adults grew old until they died.

Exponential xp is bad in games. Needs to be fixed.
