the new Food stand
does the food stand acts as table that does need refilling ? or is it pure deco?

nothing on the wiki regarding this.

The dwarfs will not take beer and wine from it (and maybe other drinks). They need a regular table.

Although correct, they will indeed take beer and wine from it infact they will mostly prioritise taking beer or wine first but the new table will not refill beer and wine automatically, you must place it manually.

any chance to FORBID certain foods? hate having decent meals ignored or excess coconuts/pine-cones & cucumbers while the berries always get put on display?

It would be nice to have a sort of equipment screen for the food rack, that lets you pick & limit which foods to include. I don't think there's a way to do that right now, though. It's pretty annoying when the dwarves literally chew through all your berries and you can't craft health elixirs.

Small mod to save berries, disadvantage they are no longer food for dwarves but that's what you want, right?

Probably the only solution for now.

Ultimately it seems like the "AutoTableBehavior" should be defined in the data/components directory, along with the other various item behaviors, so we can change which foods are excluded or at least make them very low priority.

I think they nerfed back the berries a little in the last patch, but hey Deleorr, now that we have a auto food stand (that proves out proof of concept, thanks for it!) when can we get a BAR!!!

Does it use my ingredients, or only prepared foods. I'd rather it not use my tomatoes, carrots, ect, ect, the stuff used to make dishes and drinks. I know it says "prepared foods" in its description. But I'm testing now to see if my ingredients are used, I hope not...or I'll go back to the table lol.
