Portal Spell not working Craft the World

Does anyone know why my dwarves won't acknowledge portal spells? I have 9 DLCs, everything is updated, and no matter what I do, they wont use the portal. Appreciate any feedback.

Yeah, regular portal spell to have dwarves travel accross the map, doesn't seem to be working for me either, help??

The Devs will tell you, that the problem are mods. But the portal will also not work without mods. Or very rarely.
They should fix this. I'm not playing anymore, because of the not working portal spell.

stumbled upon the bug WITHOUT MODS, currently running vanilla no dlc and these work just fine with the portal

This is ridiculous. No matter how much people say, the spell is broken even without any mods, they keep preaching that mods are breaking the game. They should fix their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
I lost my trust in this company completely.

The problem is, it isn't for most people; steam db says there are peaks of 500 people a day playing fine. Some people are having problems, and people on the forums and devs can't work out why.

And just because people say they're playing "without mods" doesn't mean that they aren't. We just had someone realize that one of their mods was reinstalling continually from workshop, see the last couple of posts in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/248390/discussions/0/3105773861175796277/

Well, steam db says that they're playing, not that they are playing fine and without any problems.
I myself have played without the portal spell working. It's absolutely possible but not really fun.

mmm not to be a spoil but its working for me when i wiped both steam file and dekovir file in %appdata%/roaming and removed all the mods from the folder while being sure to unsub from female only drwarfs mod and backpack+1 mod before i wiped.. tried to reenable female only dwarfs but that broke the ai protal thing. i am currently using these mods while its working
rebuild hero
elevator speed x4
craftable coin
more aniamls
no more lava
disable ghost
mana pack
cheaper static portal
backpack space and safe landing
sheep board drop x2
no slowdown/agility
starter coins
more resources from mining
i did wipe both files. then verifed game. launched it. text got glitchy. backdrop same.
closed it. then verified it again. backdrop changed and text got fixed. then launched a world
so maybe its something to do with the config files corruption or being fiddled with. and mods that directly effect the dwarfs config?

I uninstalled the game, wiped all remaining files and made sure not to have subscribed to any mod.
Unfortunately the portal spell was not working. (Well, it worked but stopped working after a couple of minutes of playing)
But I will trie again.
And yes, the male/female only mods are breaking the game. :(

including the appdata roaming dekovir file?

cause theres two files you need to wipe to fix it. the dekovir file in appdata. and the steam. i removed the gender one and backpack+1

As I said, I deleted every file remaining and did a fresh install.
The dwarves were using the portal for a couple of minutes, then refuses to use them.
But I can't remember, if the portal of the tinkerer did work.

I'm pretty sure I saw this once in the last couple of days, but when I quit and restarted the map it worked again. What map this? Just the campaign or a custom config? Was it the fixed portals you paid gold for, or the temporary ones you spend mana to directly create?
