Stuck at Loading screen

For two days now my game gets stuck after the Loading bar fills... it just sits there and then goes Not Responding. I have tried: re starting the game, re starting my computer, removing all mods, updating my graphics driver, verifying the game files on steam, uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game, making sure theres an exception in my firewall for the game. And it still gets stuck at the end of the Loading bar. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try next?

First backup and the delete the whole %appdata%\dekovir folder.
Maybee you last save ist corruped.
Uninstall dont remove all files.

removed the appdata file, removed the workshop folder incase that was causing it, uninstalled and reinstalled again and still nothing, it still hangs at the end of the Loading bar. I wish I could figure out why!

Three days ago was working?
What have you changed last time?
You installed or updated some antivirus maybe?
These days I got a notification that there are new video drivers available.
I wanted to install them but the nvidia geforce experience requires me to log in, which bothers me. Maybe some players have no issue with that and they update drivers as soon as they come.
Just like games, drivers can have bugs too.

Regarding the game, The base game was updated about a month ago.
"Craft The World - Heroes" was updated 24 hours ago.
If you own the "Craft The World - Heroes" expansion, try uninstalling it and see if the base game starts.

thanks for that idea. as far as I knew, nothing had changed but I went and removed the last few windows updates just in case but it didnt help. graphics driver was updated AFTER the game stopped working, so its not that. still looking out for any other ideas, im really stumped as to why its not working (all other games on steam work fine, btw).

After you start the game and it freezes, close it and check
C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\dekovir\crafttheworld\crafttheworld.log
See what the last line contains. Maybe it gives a clue about what makes it hang.

-i would check again if you delte the C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\dekovir\ FOLDER (not file as you write) complete.
-Delte the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CraftTheWorld\mods FOLDER
-disable you internet conection
-and try to start again.

the last line in that log says "11:05:46: Generate new map.." so thats where its crashing?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, steeamdrek! somehow I had missed that second folder (sorry the world file means folder in my language, i did mean folder) and deleting it did the trick! thank you SO much for reminding me of that folder! finally I can craft the world again!

The last savegame is used as menü background, if the save is corrupped the game crash.

My game also continues to suffer from it not loading into the menu and getting stuck on the loading screen, if this is an update that happened recently, then it could not be a problem with the PC itself, but with the game itself, so I hope for an update to repair the game, because there's nothing wrong with mine or anyone else's PC, that's for sure!!

This thread is from 2020.
The game was updated 5 months ago.

If your game worked recently and doesn't anymore, then it might be a bug.
Try backup your save files and game configuration files.
Then disable the cloud saves.
Then remove the original folders were the saves and configurations were stored (as you have a backup)
Uninstall the game and restart your PC
Then install the game.
Then start the game and see if works.
This would be like installed very first time.

If it works, you can try to put your saves into the folder they belong.
