A question about the runes(una duda sobre las runas)

what is the function of the runes that they give you after defeating the monsters of the portals and when breaking the rock chests in the dungeons? is that I have not played the game for a long time and with so many updates I am very lost (¿cual es la funcion de las runas que te dan despues de derrotar a los mounstruos de los portales y al romper los cofres de roca en las mazmorras?es que llevo tiempo sin jugar al juego y ♥♥♥ tantas actualizaciones estoy muy perdido)

According to the Patchnotes they can be used to open Treasure Vaults if you find the right combination

but how do you use them to open the vaults?

Here's what I've experienced:

1. Mine the runes around the door.
2. If a rune has 4 lights lit up (one on each corner of the block), it can't be mined and is part of the solution.
3. After the rune has been mined, it will reveal a rune behind it in a bright blue.
4. Put a rune from your inventory that corresponds to the bright blue rune in your hotbar.
5. Place the rune from your hotbar onto the blue rune on the wall like you would place any other block elsewhere.
6. Repeat process for other runes.
7. Door should light up after a moment or two and the loot should spill from if.

Keep in mind what I mentioned regarding the 4 lights on a rune--some doors have this, some do not. If the door you see does not have it, then you'll need to, "mine," all three runes around the door.

It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Mine our the runes around the door if there are any. Then tell dwarves to place down runes of the right symbol and the door will open.

You get runes from looting treasure underground and by defeating monster invasions.
