Milla Adventure Mode + Torque DLC Coming Soon!

Freedom Planet DLC is coming soon!

We will be releasing our DLC in two batches. The first DLC set includes Milla's Adventure mode and Torque as a playable character, and will be released on PC/Mac/Linux this December. Spade requires additional content and will be released sometime next year. We will try our hardest for a prompt Wii U release for both updates, but we can't be certain about it until it's submitted.

I mean, not to detract from the gesture since it is great and all, but given that Freedom Planet was a Kickstarter game, and Milla/Spade/Torque were stretch goals that were reached... a cynical mind might just see it as "merely" fulfilling their contract.

Of course, a more optimistic person might also point out that they could have given special codes to backers that let them get it in exchange for their backing during the campaign, and charged for everybody else as expansion content. So it is still very nice to uphold the spirit of the campaign.

Anyone who thinks this is just to fulfill a kickstarter does need to realize that we really COULD just give them codes, and that the kickstarters amount to less than 0.003% of our customer base... so to say we're giving that many people free DLC just because of a kickstarter is... well... a bad line of reasoning.

Although that percentage does bode well for the actual sales. 1105 / 0.003 = ~350k.. So, y'know, optimism.

Though the cynic might also wonder how many of those were 0.33~ cent purchases during Humble Bundle 4.

I can't disclose any actual numbers, but not a whole lot.

I'm excited for the entire thing. The characters, the stages, the kickass music (hope woofle is working on it).

On the subject of sales figures, I hope the Wii U release has been fantastic for you guys. Seeing as though the game has 2nd place in the best sellers list, it should help finance whatever expansion, game, or whatever you have in store.

The trailer had the date oct on it, and its over now... Weren't they supposed to be released or has plans changed?

The trailer literally contains no dates whatsoever. Are you looking at the date the trailer was released?

Our announcement specifically states December.
