Milla is too hard.
I'm stuck on a boss battle as Milla on casual difficulty.
You know, the difficulty where you automatically regenerate health and you take less damage?
It's not even the final boss, but I'm losing lives on casual difficulty.

I would suggest reviewing how you are playing the character and if you are doing everything you can with her.

I've tried what the speedrunner was doing, but I can't seem to do it. The plasma missile things are still killing me, even on casual difficulty. (Also, I think casual difficulty is broken. I wasn't regenerating health when I was almost dead, but I was when I was close to full health.)

It's not broken, and Milla isn't too hard. She's in fact amazingly buffed from her original release. Have some patience, practice a little, take your time. We won't be making her any easier or buffing casual mode any more than we have, unfortunately.

Please note that the reason we have her as an unlockable character is that she is an intentionally different character meant to be played differently, we usually recommend you don't actually play her until after you can beat the game with either starter character.

(In fact completing the game as Milla was originally going to be the goal to unlock even more advanced characters.)

To clarify, you're fighting Robopanther?

Okay then.
I'm fighting the thing Brevon uses in Battle Glacier.

One of the harder fights in the game.

Take the risk and dig on the spot to the right. It should help immensely.

Okay.

While I wouldn't classify Milla as too hard, she is indeed hard to get a hang on at start. She works completely different from other girls and her health pool doesn't help matters. Speedrunners and power players can take Milla to new level but those tricks would be useless for you, as you need some lower level tips, so you know how to play as her to get proper value. Some fast bullet points:

- Your cube also can reflect projectiles, can be useful for certain boss.
- Some enemies will be too fast for you, especially if you don't know their pattern. I would suggest to not risk generating the cube if you are going to get hit fast. Shield Spikes are weak, but they are fast.
- Shield can block suprisingly a lot of damage. Some later bosses are especially weak to reflects.
- Play on the distance. Your thrown cubes have a lot of range, so pepper 'em from the afar.

As for the health not regenerating. I think this is a bug (or something intended) that affects also the Easy difficulty. If your lower your health to red blink state, you won't regenerate until you get at least one 0,5HP of recovery. Not sure why it's how it is, but well....

Honestly, of all the characters, I had the easiest time with Milla, where I found Carol frustratingly difficult. As for tips, I could only repeat what others have said, watching, learning patterns, and learning what you can and can't reflect are critical for Milla.

I find every player seems to have a character they find much harder than the other two. It varies.

Milla is hard to learn but once you do it , pretty op kinda character. Thanks to her shield , charge attack and flutter jump she can break most bosses (such as Spade , every boss with a projectile and the second form of Brevon).

So yeah its all about learning her , getting better with her.
