On the Subject of the DLC

To make it clear, since we still get threads about this: The DLC is on indefinate hold. Unfortunately the Engine in it's current state is proving to be impossible to insert DLC into in a stable enough way to support all of our platforms. As such we've had to put the project on hold until we can regroup and figure out a solution.

This will likely not occur until FP2 has been released. As we will likely use that game's brand new engine to reach a solution in some way.

We regret having to delay this out like this, but there's simply no other logical or reasonable way for us to move at this juncture. More details on a solution will be released around or after FP2 has hit a release candidate. We are sorry for the trouble.

Any backers who are not satisfied with this turn of events can contact us through the appropriate channels (Kickstarter) and request a refund. We will be fulfilling those.

And that's one of the downsides to making your game in a middleware like Clickteam Fusion.

Rebuilding the game seems like the logical solution.

A question I just had a thought about, are we still going to see soundtrack quality versions of the final Serpentine theme added to the DLC soundtrack at some point? And what about Horizon Starport, which is in-game (in the beta build) but not accessible through legal means.

Knew this was coming. You did still release a game that I spent 46 hours playing, and *mostly* enjoyed that time spent, so I will not seek a refund. But I regret contributing to this game's Kickstarter. I don't think you are trustworthy people. I will never buy another game from Galaxy Trail.

Just unlock Spade from hacking (the game resets if he's chosen) and I won't complain about DLC anymore. It will feel almost like a full experience for me.

The fun part is you think that's a lock and not one of the many bugs we encountered that caused us to choose to stop working on it. :D

I just hope it will happen one day. Spade was one of my favourite characters and I was waiting to play as him. Well, I really hope you don't abandon the idea to make his campaign in the end. Maybe with this new engine or whatever. Just please make it happen some day :)

It's crazy how they got griped out for continuing to work on the DLC because people thought it was eating into the development on the sequel &, now that they're suspending development of the DLC for that very reason, you're whining even though they're offering refunds. There'll always be whiners no matter what GT does.

In my honest opinion DLC or not the game alone was and still is worth the money spent, I still play the heck out of this game and will continue on doing so, and when Freedom Planet 2 comes out I will buy that and play the heck out of that too, so I say keep it up, keep the hard works going, don't worry about the DLC so much, you did a good in the game it self and I personally couldn't ask for more, you all are great, so keep it up :).

All good, my son is a huge Sonic fan and this is his new favorite game ever. Looking forward to FP2 and whatever solution you come up with. This game is a terrific debut.
