Cannot import images anymore?
Hello, I am having an issue I am not able to solve, when I create a new active object and open its properties (even in a new project), I go to the import icon located at the upper left corner of the properties window and try to click it, nothing happens!, this is happening since yesterday, it was working perfectly before, I haven´t modified anything related to the program in my computer and I even have tried to run the program with the antivirus off, also tried to come back to the previous system restore point of march but it´s the same.

I need to continue my project and now I am stuck, maybe someone has run into the same problem or at least I hope so.

I really have no clue :((, any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hey Kisguri

Thanks for your fast response. I have windows 7 home edition, it's really weird that it suddenly stopped to work, this afternoon after I posted the first message I tried a couple of things:

1. To test it in windows secure mode.
2. To uninstall and reinstall the whole program to see if it was some ".dll" lost or rewritten library or something.

But nothing changed or got fixed. Any additional information you may need just ask, I will try my best to help to solve this issue.

Greetings.

Ok so I have duplicated the bug and have reported it, in the mean time the work around should you choose to use it, is to Copy to clipboard the image and then CTRL V or Paste button it into the object from within the picture editor. We will attempt to remedy this ASAP.

Also please note that drag a image from your computer into the picture editor is still working.

Петакий what OS are you on? And are either of you using Steam Client Beta?

I am using Steam Client Beta Kis, if you find out this could be the problem I would like to know how do I do to come back to the standard version ASAP.

In the other hand I will try that as a contingency measure to keep advancing a little bit, but I cannot import long animations as I was doing before, I am working with around 1600 frames animations, so copy-paste image by image would be a serious pain. Greetings.
Kisguri, windows 7, I really do not know what happend :redwizard:

Ok so its pretty certain its the beta client, I switched back and restored function. We are looking into what we can do to avoid issues with beta, but it will take a while, in the mean time go to Steam/Settings and select in the beta participation dropbox None Opt out, and reboot steam it will reconfigure your client back to standard. Please report back that it worked or not!

Hello!

Problem confirmed & solved, if you deactivate the beta of Steam it works again normally (in my case), let's see with Петакий, so it´s a thing to check which is the file or command they removed or modified in the beta that doesn´t allow the program to open that window. Thanks for your fast assistance Kisguri :)

Greetings

Steam converted the beta to release today with a client update. We are working with Steam and Valve to get it fixed. In the mean time you can still get images in your app by dragging them on to the picture editor.
