Sprite Sheets
Is it possible to import a spritesheet, say, for individual background tiling and such. I've been trying to figure out how to import a spritesheet of tiles, but see no way to do this without having to manually select and import one image at a time.

When importing a image into a object, you first select the image, and then there is a dialog with a bunch of objects, near the top left corner is import as spritesheet checkbox click it to get started.

I do that, but still don't see any other way to save each piece as an individual backdrop. I'm guessing I'll just have to hunker down and save each piece individually.

This may help... I have not tried it yet.

Thank you, I've watched this one before. But, I'm actually trying to see if I can do the same with Tilesets( like forest, grass, mountains). Kind of how rpgmaker has it set up for easy map making. Thank you very much though. I really apreciate it.

Do you mean to say you are trying to load this tilesets into a Background object and not a Active object? Or are you trying to do something at runtime? We are going to need a bit more information.

Background object. I was trying to see if I could seperate a tileset into individual parts. At first I tried as an active object and it worked for the most part, but I had to seperate each piece into it's own background image from there. A bit tedious, but it worked. Not a huge deal, just wished there was a quicker solution, that's all.

@Granface , wonderful relevant comment to the discussion thanks.

@valkill100 when you have time maybe shoot me your solution, and maybe I can see somethig that will make it easier.

That's quite alright, it's nothing major right now. I might look into creating a solution once I'm more knowledgable of the software, but as of right now I'm currently in a contest that's taking up my time for the remainder of this month. Thank you, Kisguri, I appreciate it.

Late reply and sorry for necroing, has anyone found a solution to this? I made a tilesheet to be used for the game and have been looking for a way to import it efficiently.

After some searching, I only came across this forum entry where one user suggested to

"Add an active object to your frame. Double-click it to go to the animation editor. Press Ctrl+O or click the Folder icon to open an existing image. Select the tile map you want to use, click okay, and then in the Import Options screen that comes up, select Import animation and also Sprite sheet and then enter the size of the tiles." source: https://opengameart.org/forumtopic/import

This works, however, if I understood it correctly, requires me to import the same image an n amount of times and edit it an n amount of times as well to get the complete tilesheet in the game. Is that correct? Is that the only native way or is there a swifter method like, e.g. in RPG maker where one can simply import a png tilesheet to import rocks, trees, rivers, grass, etc.? Thank you very much.
Tento colocar individualmente e as imagens anteriores apagam...sempre fica só uma. Como resolver?
