Is multiplayer still available?

I wanted to get C&C Kane's wrath on steam for the multiplayer however I heard that EA shutted down the servers for many games including C&C kane's wrath but it is stated in the store page that it is multiplayer and single player. So I'm wondering whther if multiplayer is still playable in steam. Please Help!!! If multiplayer is still available. I will definitely get this game!

that doesnt work 4 me sez cannot connect to backend server any ideas

the server is new and underfunded so has issues and goes offline now and again chek server status top right on cnc-online.net
any other problems read the common issues....
