Will Radmin VPN or Hamachi work instead of CnC online? (I read the befor you post,but I didn't find thing that I wanted)

I'm asking this because I have steam version and my friend has pirated game.

CnC online for steam version. The pirated version doesn't work well playing along with the original game, it's unstable disconnecting.
