World builder wont download

allo i have installed the world builder for Kanes Wrath
but it wont download

"CRC error: The file C:\program files (x84)\steam\steamapps\common\Command and conquer - Kanes wrath\worldbuilder.exe doesnt match the file in the set up's .cab file.
The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor."

not sure what i have to do. i fixed a similar issue with tiberium wars world builder but i fixed that.

Yea it,s probably the same problem with the same solution. C n C installs without a slash at the end but the worldbuilder is looking for an install with the slash....

1. Go to Windows Start type "run" in search box to

2. find Run program

3. In Run type "regedit"

4. Then go here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts

\Command and Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath

5. Once there right click file InstallPath then click

Modify... then put a \ at the end like so:

"c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common

\Command and Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath",

Will become:

"c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common

\Command and Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath\"

Click OK

install worldbuilder.

mabey post all your great pro maps on the custom map forum..

allo thx for the reply but hasnt worked.

this is the same problem i had with TWs world builder but i fixed with your method tried it then with KWs too but didnt work.
when you posted i tried it again just in case but still saying

dont worry i downloaded for CnC Labs which i dont think is working

i found a download from another source

if you get this error or something like it.

"application cannot start because side-by-side configuration is incorrect....."

this is the solution to that thanks to "NarkoTri1er" on here

Found solution. What you actually need to do when you try to launch and get error message is to:
1. Go to Event Viewer;
2. Go to Windows Logs\Application;
3. Search for error with source SideBySide;
4. Click on error;
5. Under General tab you can see details of error;
6. You will find something like this: Activation context generation failed for "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\WorldBuilder.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.;

7. Type the number that is between commas (version="*.*.*****.*" could not be found) into Google search box on your browser. Enther the Microsoft link saying "VS2005 SP1 version of Visuall C++....." and download the file;
8. Install the file;
9. Open WorldBuilder;
10. Enjoy.
