Can't play network mode with my family

I bought it on discount thinking I would've fun and it just gives connection timeout when someone try to connect to me. Antivirus and Windows firewall are allowing all communication from C&C3 Kane's Wrath, any ideas? Otherwise I will ask a refund because this game would be defective.

It's not the game but whatever fake lan you're trying to use.


Because this game no longer has online support, you need to look into Hamachi, Game Ranger, or Tunngle in order to play this game online. Game Ranger and Tunngle works wonders, Hamachi is inconsistent among my friends due to it's unnaturally complex nature.

I use C&C Online and it works wonderfully. I advise you to check it out. Also last I checked network play still works if you are in close proximity to those you are playing with.

Well thanks guys, I guess I will be forced to make an account. We are literally in the same house, no firewall restrictions and it won't work in Network mode even though we can see each other server.

Pure network mode matches still work, you don't need online access or C&C online for that... The error has to do with someones configuration. Try other games in pure network mode and see if that also doesn't work, then you have a proof ;)

If there is an idiot here it's you paying for a defective product and have to do workaround to make it work, enjoy eating garbage I guess. When I had the CD I already finished the campaign anyway

Hey Kain! I don't think I can help you with your LAN problem...HOWEVER! You could use the service provided by this website: https://cnc-online.net/en/connect/login/ . You WILL have to make an account and download the software to each computer for each player (Ex. 4 people means 4 emails to make accounts and downloading the software to the computers). The website gives pretty clear instructions and the program (while finnickly) does let you play games uninterrupted (finnicky being you may have to log back in after each game, but hey: it's all free). Please let me know if this helps. I understand that you refunded the game but should you find it on sale I would highly recommend rebuying it as my boyfriend and I have a fantastic time using this method. Great day to you! :)
