So this isn't an extraction game :O
At the end of the day it's about $$/slot in your inventory and looting meaningful items, as well as staying alive as much as possible.
Also im not sure which m4 iron sights you are buying but I've been able to build weapon a full m4a1 for a roughly 1k each.
Not in the looter-shooter sense. It's going to be a milsim/sci-fi/horror with looting elements.
This isnt tarkov. While having a similar looking UI, that's where it stops. The devs didn't want people running around collecting batteries and matches, having to play tetriis mid match to decide between the bullets or a bobblehead.... even though that seems to be what a loud minority want to do. Sure you can load yourself down with items to sell... but they want the game to revolve around missions, not how many watches, bottle of liquor you can find.
You can loot AK Ratniks and MP5s as they cost about 1000 each, and there's jewelry, expensive liquors, phones, laptops, cameras, credit cards and cash registers and more that you can find and sell. Most of the good stuff is in high tier areas
The weapons from the bosses from Pha Lang Airfield (CQA1) and Sawmill (AK-74M) have ACOG scopes, which add some value to them though
Equipment collection is a secondary objective. There are (well documented) equipment and weapon crates scattered around the map. You can collect a few spare weapons and armor or upgrade your backpack from these. Holding onto keys that unlock caches is pretty important here.
Picking up weapons to sell isn't going to help you financially early on. It will score you a few extra bucks if you can bring a weapon back from deployment that's in moderately good condition, or a pristine weapon from a crate, but it is still treading water compared to running missions. This isn't tarkov where you're scrounging for toilet paper, so 99% of what you are going to find will be bandages, painkillers, splints, and food (all worthless unless you need one)
When you start poking the tier 3 "army" guys, they drop ratniks and your financial problems go away once you have the ability to take on a bunch of them in one go. If you're trying to punch above your weight, be aware they use armor piercing rounds, so scrounge some of that russian 6b armor before trying. ~$800+ per ratnik can bankroll replacement gear, but what you find in crates is usually going to be better.

Theres no way... 8,400 maybe 84,000 no way.
My advice, get out of starter town, advance your tasks so you get out to Sawmill, or a better spot to loot, as new tasks will you give you new landing zones. You can also spend hours walking them out, if you are so inclined. Dedicate yourself to looting, I have spent hours making just loot runs, to stack ammo, guns, and money for my team. It also helps to advance Gunny tasks asap, so you can buy better guns and attack stronger POI's, for better loot. I watched a group of level 5's get murdered at FN yesterday, which they had no business being at in the first place. Take on things you can handle without losing your gear.
