Gray Zone Warfare

NVIDIA users update your apps and override game to dlss 4!
The improvement to the frame gen and quality is great, went from 110 fps at spawn using frame gen and dlss balanced. Override to dlss 4 and now at dlss performance better fidelity and 124 fps now!

Can confirm this has made an improvement on my 4070 Ti.

I was getting, roughly, 80-90 FPS with Epic settings on 100% resolution at 2560x1440 in the main base with Frame Gen on.

I'm now getting about 110 FPS with the same settings.

How do we do this? Can we get a step by step how to?
Update your nVidia app and drivers as you normally would.

Once you have, go into the app, select "Graphics" select GZW and scroll down to "DLSS Override"

Wow what a difference that makes. Thanks for the tips.

I've seen a ton of people having issues with activating everything in the nvidia app. If you don't see anything, try clicking the 3 vertical dots under program settings and select "Refresh" for the game.

Might also be worthwhile to fully DDU and fresh install drivers and the nvidia app since so much is changing with the new DLSS4 options.

I don't see the Transformer model listed for GZW. Do we just select "Latest" for the preset?

Edit: Preset J affording to Google.

I'm still waiting to get home myself and test it, but from what I've read you select "Latest" and it will use the newest Preset K that nvidia just released with this driver update.

Oh, it's K? Reddit said J and I didn't notice a difference. Didn't notice any difference with "Latest" either. I'll give K a try.

So, for others like me, apparently some people don't have Preset K but selecting "Latest" defaults to it.

I don't really see a difference. Maybe it's more noticeable for those who use Frame Gen.

I'm just going by the official nvidia release https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/news/nvidia-app-update-dlss-overrides-and-more/

Thanks, that verifies "Latest" = Transformer/K.

Select “Latest” under “Super Resolution” and “Ray Reconstruction”, then click “Apply”
As of January 30th, 2025, the “Latest” model for DLSS Super Resolution has been updated to Transformer "Preset K", a minor refinement to Transformer Preset J, which showcases improved temporal stability, reduced ghosting, and enhanced detail in motion. Let us know what you think!

No difference for me. Tried back to back looking across the pool at the house in base. Epic/4k/No frame gen = 80 fps with J or "Latest."

I think I picked up a few frames using frame gen and DLSS, but with no frame gen its still faster and looks as good for me using FSR and quality,

i have RTX 3060 laptop GPU, i downloaded the driver, but i cant set the override settings, it keeps saying its unsupported, what should i do?
It's for 40 series cards and higher.

DLSS frame generation is the only thing locked to 40-series and above. The new transformer model for upscaling should work on all RTX cards, unless maybe there is some weirdness with mobile variants or insufficient VRAM.

See my post near the top. Make sure the nvidia app is updated and try refreshing the game within the Program Settings of the Graphics tab.
