Too Hard to see enemies?
I'm having a big problem in this game, the enemy seem soo small and tiny? I'm not sure what it is, but in most other shooters I dont have this problem, When I play airsoft IRL targets even far away are big enough to clearly see and shoot, in other shooter it seems when I aim down sights the target is also prety decently sized without any zoom, but in this game with a holo and even the 2.5x scope an enemy just 30 meters away is like a tenis ball, I've even found myself leaning forward with my face up to the monitor when shooting lol... I play at 2k ress, 65fov on a 27 inch monitor. It's almost like the fov is 130 but it looks like 65 outside of enemies? am I going mad? what is it?

So look at the FOV slider and start moving it around until they look a bit better.
There is a drastic difference between numbers.

What you are seeing is what you describe, it is FOV.

Even when you dial the FOV pretty close, it is hard to make shots with no magnified optic past about 100 meters.
That is one reason you will see most players running the 1x6 on the guns.

drop that fov down around 55 and start moving it around from there.
What I did to set mine:
Put on the micro rear and front site.
At the base, stand at the end of the pool by the spawn, looking at the shower.
Aim the gun.
Does the Shower "zoom in"?
If So, move the FOV slider 1 point until it no longer zooms in.
Once I had the shower dialed in, I then turned my focus to the shack that is on the other side of the helipads.
Repeat the process noting what it was from the test above.

If the numbers are different, spilt the difference and start there.
So if the first test is 55 and the second is 61, start at 58 and play for a bit.

You can not have great FOV close and far, so it is a trade off on what works best for you, and for what your engagement range will be.

I see, but there's seems to be extremes here? Like in BF 2142 I have FOV 90, like most games, that makes the world up close look fine and far away fine, enemies are big enough to see, but i have enough view around me up close its not claustrophobic, but here it seems whaaky?

Just to make sure, do you know the game is using vertical FoV, which is different from the more common horizontal FoV? At 16:9, 65 vFoV is equal to almost 100 hFoV. There are some converters you can google, but I'm at the same res and screen size and around 56-58 vFoV feels like a much better balance to me.

Also whether intended or not, vFoV right now has an outsized effect on sight magnification and how close the sight is basically to your character's face. If you test at 50 vFoV you'll see how much larger/closer the sight is on screen vs. 75 vFoV. I'm not sure of the exact math, but I would guess vFoV and sight magnification is having a multiplicative (or squaring?) interaction on the actual pixel size of enemies which is why it seems so drastic.

/\ This. I forgot to mention that it is vertical. Great catch.
This is why start the number low around 55 or so, and work it a point at a time.

59 seems to be what net says is 90, and it looks a bit better. I'll give it a try later. Now where is my M249 light machine gun at?

I'm actually experiencing the same exact issue. I have FOV set to the lowest setting and I still have to squint and/or get close to the monitor to see somewhat distance targets (under 100 m). Just like you, I don't have this issue with any other FPS. For the life of me I can't figure out what's causing this.

1x optics are pretty much unusable unless I'm at CQB distances, which is strange because I have no problem shooting silhouette targets at 100 meters with unmagnified dots at the range.

It almost feels like the game's perspective is adjusted with the assumption that our eyes are located inside our character's head - i.e. glued to the monitor.

Are they small or blurry?

If they're small, then FOV definitely needs to go lower. I run at the lowest FoV myself and I can reliably hit enemies out to about 50-75 meters with irons. It's not great but it's doable.

If they're blurry, check your 3D resoultion slider. If it's not 100%, your game is being upscaled. If it's grayed out and you can't change it, you need to switch to an option like TSR or DLSS with DLAA and run at the native resloution.
