You would be surprised how good you can stealth around before the AI notices you. If they see you and you just jump behind bushes they will continue to light up those bushes. If they see you and you loose sight behind bushes and keep moving somewhere else in like a L pattern they will not know where you went.
Just don't press shift, the AI for whatever reason have super human hearing when it comes to you running. Once you loose line of sight walk, don't run. In fact never run unless you actually have to

if you hate ban pa wait for blue lagoon you will love it
I tried naked and sneaked in but it was impossible, especially near the river bank. All my 7 attempts, I managed to zig zag the enemies until 100mtrs or so from the quest site, they are everywhere.
Get better.
+1
For me silencers are hit in miss, sometimes I can pop guys off one shot and others not hear me and sometimes they do. I feel like it's not them hearing your silencer but they have BORG mentality. As in if you shoot one with a silencer and don't one shot kill him he insta radios everybody that your their (but I do notice when others are alerted they might not be alerted to your exact location).
About getting flanked, like I said try not to engage until you have hard cover, AKA buildings. Move through them and engage out of windows and doors. Ya though even wearing headsets and volume way up they can be hard to hear but I sometimes hear them (although play with my own headset set up to like 95% volume. Lol loud enough to if an AI I don't see shoots at me it's like a jump scare.
Not getting flanked I wouldn't call a "git gud" situation, but just try to be aware of your surroundings and don't get tunnel vision when engaging. Which is much easier said than done. Also are yall wearing good armor? I'm finding most people in game I come across don't realize lvl 3 armor is better than 3A. Lvl 3A armor does nothing to stop rifle rounds while lvl 3 does
