How do you mean? I have a friend with a 1080 playing this game on Medium across the board and getting around 45 FPS at 1080p.

Their minimum specs are pretty accurate.

3060 is almost the exact same performance as a 1080. Actually, a little worse IIRC. It just has the benefit of being able to use DLSS to produce AI generated frames to help smooth things out.

Edit: I posted this yesterday

Go to any website that has compared the two cards and you'll see the actual performance differences are negligible. In many areas, the 1080 is better than the 3060.

would a 4070 be a plausiible upgrade?

I use a 4070 TI and I'm running everything on Epic with TSR as I just want AA without the AI rendered frames. Getting 60FPS at 1080p resolution with zero issue. I figure a 4070 should be just fine. A quick comparison of the 3060 and the 4070 show a remarkable increase in performance.

XX50s (usally laptop cards) are very low budget cards
XX60s are budget cards of whatever family you're picking: 1060, 2060, 3060, 4060
XX70s are mid-high range
XX80s are high range
XX90s are like epic tier

yea im sorry but im callin cap. you have people with decent rigs having to resort to frame gen and fsr/dlss to get even stable frames. can also confirm i have a friend with a 1080 and the game is simply unplayable. im all for gaslighting and giving the benefit of the doubt but nah you are capping.

It may depend on your CPU and RAM as well. Or any other range of factors. I'm not gas-lighting anyone. I have no reason to. No two systems are alike. All I know is he's running a 1080 and an i7 of some sort with 32 GB of RAM at 1080p and he's getting playable framerates at medium settings.

Another of my friends with a 4050 in his laptop is struggling to even get the game to stay open for more than ten minutes at a time.

you need at least a 3080 or 4070 to play this game and a recent i5k/i7k or amd 5800x3d/7800x3d

I run a 4070ti with a i7 14700k ddr5 6000mhz and get 100-120 fps on epic everything using dlss on quality without frame generation. Frame gen stutters too much for me.
