The 7N13 you can purchase has the following stats:
Muzzle Velocity: 828 m/s
Dispersion: -2%
Description: The 7.62x54R 7N13 cartridge is a powerful armor-piercing (AP) round designed for precision and penetration. It has a distinctive purple tip and provides reliable armor-piercing capabilities, making it an excellent choice for application requiring enhanced piercing power.
Edit: Deleted the 7N23. It's 7.62x39 so wrong caliber.
Probably the same dev who thought 4 rather slow choppers per team would be fine!
One shot with both can kill soldiers in Fort Narith. I've done it. People need to get past the idea that every shot is the same. You may not have hit a vital organ or it may not have done enough organ damage or blood loss to cause a kill.
The best armor in this game is III+ which is not rated for M855A1 or 7.62x54R. That being said, it can mitigate damage enough to not insta-kill. Same way The IIIA helmets have saved me from death when hit by AP rifle rounds.
IIIA helmet couldn't stop any rifle round in the real world. It should be the same in game.
Stop, no. But it does deflect depending on the angle it hits.
Of course you can one hit them... but I'm talking about hearth shot through their level III+ armor.
Also I'm talking in average. Sometimes you need 1 somethimes 3 or 5... but in average it takes twice as much 7.62x51R than 855A1.
EDIT: NIJ level 3+ is rated to stop 5.56 green tip which is armor penetrating round and will also stop some cheap 7.62x54R but will not stop some better bullets.
+ is not an NIJ rating. That's a manufacturer specific rating that can vary based on the manufacturer. One company's might stop a 54R while another might not.
That is true. Some of them will and some won't.
I think if you are planning on getting shot with 7.62x54R you choose NIJ 4 (ideally +++). :)
Well all 7.62x54 are ♥♥♥♥ including 7.62x51...
