+1 Ah ! i see i am not the only one with this issue ! Same for e but Xbox serie X controller in wird (so no it isn't sadly the wireless thing)
It's the first time a game does that..
We should report to Aspyr. Personally it's enough rare but can happen like say 1 hours of playing or a bit more
I don't remmeber have had problem with the patched version of the originals however...
I will use only d pad for trying and will chec it out (no problem for me i have the habiot since the ps1 days for Tom raider so, i remmber that for tr3 analog stick was horrendous on ps1 prefer the d pad CLEARLY)
On keyboard no problem no ? even when you input several arrows direction in same time ? (for made some axis and do some cricles movements).
But for sure it should be fixed.
Probably a coincidence, but in the several times it happened during Palace Midas it was just as a sound effect began, the game lagged a couple of times and then both thumb sticks stopped responding. Not sure then if this problem is something to do with the audio.
As swoopy said, any other button unlocks the stick again.
Even the "look"-button does.
It already starts to happen, when I open up the Steam Overlay. XD
I got used to it, but it surely is annoying.
Yes with audio sometime game seem to "lag" (freeze big moment like if you was skipping literraly a cvhunk of frames like if you was playinf online)
Note i use the fix DXGI swapchain i am aware that it's a wrapper dx12 (as swap dxgi is intentend for..Open GL/Vulkan )
I doubt game could not problem with steam overlay ?
Ah by the way good quesiton i think but who knows ? do you use in global setting the steam input overlay (yes the one who just fix some big problems on games as original re4 otherwise gamepad is messed up in input but steam input fix it).
I should tru as the game is planned FOR Xbox One serie X and normal one controller and same for DS 4 and Dual sense
I am going to try and desactivate the steam input (the one intentend for fix some games but i know some need to desactivate it for properly ex Prince of persia from 2008 )
And as i suspected i have not had a single "Lara's just doesn't move anymore suddenly"
However ! I have to say it seem that the famous half second freeze (sort of lag in fact as if we was playing onliny) occurs. Apparently it's related to audio loading (files more exactly they aren't load directly when the game is fire up)
But i have read that was concerning for Steam deck (sd card) and Switch (same reason).
I must precise that for the stutters (very slight one but never noticed because i made the change since the dy one)
I use the DXGI swapchain for OpenGL/Vulkan
I am on an rtx 3090 FE and 9900K, last build public windows 11 pro. I don't use the cvery last drivers by the way. I put available 100go for construction of the shadi
For now i only use d pad and Lara had never being in state "Lara's.exe had stopped to respond
The half second lag still occurs but not the Lara doesn't move at all suddently until you push d pad direction or Look button etc
Humm i was refering rather to the steam input you can use when game had some obvious problem with the input.
Take Resident evil 4 (2004) it needed for fix it (otherwise if it's not an Xbox 360 controller there will be some very strange things for input and animations related from)
