Remastering this game is a waste of time, it need to be remade with a lot of changes and finished story and better gameplay with removal of all the RPG and Point and Click elements, and only in this case it may have chance to be good game, otherwise we just need to pretend it did not exist.
I would prefer more to see TR4-5 combined together, then canceled almost finished Anniversary Edition by Core to be remastered after TR4-5, and then Anniversary by Crystals (with addition of flashlight that was exclusive to Wii version and with next gen graphics exclusive to 360 and PS3 versions, with all the fancy features of next gen Legend) plus Legend (but with less vaseline looking next gen content, more in line with Underworld) and Underword with them, preferably all 3 adapted to latest version of crystal engine probably also done same way as this trilogy - so you can just press down in menu of one game and switch to another and they made with single shared exe and dll with code of each separate game (i really like this aproach more than separate exes, it was done similar way in halo remaster, which also had Saber involved, so it kinda feels like their mark).
"like Dreamfall The Longest Journey" my ass. That game played flawlessly compared to Angel of Darkness.
Since tr5 used same engine as 4 and was more like mission pack to 4 than whole separate game, remastering of 5 would be quite cheap and easy when remaster of 4 is ready, so packing them together as TR Last Revelation + Chronicles (without even numbers, that actually was not official part of titles) remastered is good idea.
But AOD yeah, waste of time and money until it's fully reworked from game design to story.
Dreamfall played nicely, except for when dreamfall tried to be clunky stealth game, but I compared type of gameplay and AOD is close to Dreamfall and broken sword sleeping dragon and far from Tomb Raider and funny enough, AoD has almost same clunky stealth sections, but I think they worked better in dreamfall.
yes LMB shooting..but you can bind your keys

luckily they don't need to listen to you
If Soul rever gets a remaster it should not be just an upgrade, it should be restoration of all unfinished content with origina finished story that was not supposed to end with cliffhanger and turned series of dumbed down sequels that contradicts original story.
Soul Reaver 2, Bloom Omen 2 and Defiance was trash not worthy to be called Soul Reaver sequels. Everything got worth (and nope, story with plot twists starting with 2 was not good, wow effect is nothing when it ruins fine story of original, that was not actually writtent by Amy alone as in sequels).
This is how SR1 supposed to end:
"Soul Reaver came out in 1999 after a few months of delay. The game was almost cut in the middle - the retail version did not contain lots of the intended abilities and areas. The reason behind this decision was the lack of time to incorporate them properly within the game. However, the audio in the released version also includes the additional cut dialogue, which is very interesting to hear.
After fighting Rahab, Raziel would go on a quest to invade Dumah´s fortress and Turel´s smokestack in the North. In order to fight Turel, Raziel would either have first gained the Shift-at-Will ability from Kain after battle at Chronoplast (which is very interesting, because in the later games, this ability is never mentioned and was apparently discarded) to get to the Undercity Lair to fight the Priestess, or he first fought the Priestess and then Kain at Chronoplast.
The abilities gained from these additional fights were intended to allow Raziel to enter many areas (the Sound Glyph for example) and are accessible via the trainer, WinHack or cheat codes. Although it is not possible to control the enemy vampires, the camera can be at least placed behind them instead of Raziel, giving an insigth on the possession ability of the Priestess.
Gameplay was also oriented on gaining various elemental Reavers present in future games, not just the Fire Reaver. The area of the Silenced Cathedral was much bigger too and the top is completely absent. The game´s code includes the complete list of the areas which are absent. The only exception are the City 10, 11 levels.
They can be loaded with WinHack and even though the connection between them is not entirely correct, they are playable. The tunnel is located next to the large area with a water channel indicating that Raziel would have accessed the Undercity Lair from the upper part of the City. The fountain with the health fragment and the stairway both bear the "mrlck" designation and vampiric writings, so it is safe to assume they were part of the deleted Smokestack area.
The ending was also very distinct. After acquiring the Ariel Reaver, Raziel fought the final battle with Kain at his mountain retreat, mostly regarded to be Malek´s Bastion. Raziel finally killed Kain and gained the Amplified Reaver, capable of killing any vampire on one hit. Now unstoppable, he climbed to the upper part The Silenced Cathedral and rang its bells, effectively exterminating all the vampires in Nosgoth. The Elder God expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, claiming the Wheel of Fate will spin again. Some might claim that Raziel did not survive the hymn of death. However, since he is a wraith and no longer a vampire, it seems that he remained unharmed (Raziel was unaffected by the Sound Glyph spell as well)."
This is what needs to be restored in case if any remaster or remake of Soul Reaver is done! All the nonsense of Soul Reaver 2 and beyond needs to be retconed.

Chronicles was loved only a little more than AoD, so I really doubt the demand is there for that.
But Last Revelation was the death of Lara and the unsung hero of the series that basically improved on the existing formula in every possible way, and added all the mechanics the games needed from the start. It's also an insanely long game so I could see that being a standalone remaster if this is successful
Which so far it is. The game is sick
