TR1 is very different from TR Anniversary.
To those who didn't play both games, TR1 is VERY different from its remake TR Anniversary, so don't find it strange if the game is UNfamiliar. TRA has excellent moveset and control, fun to play, but the content is too cut and story is too altered for a remake. In TRA they erased the Cowboy boss, all human bosses were reduced to QTE, Pierre's surprise-attacks were reduced to echoes, they included Lara's parents in the story (Crystal made SIX games in a row with her parents), many memorable rooms were cut (like the 3 thrones, the aqueducts, the snake statues, the stage Tomb of Tihocan), among other things. Like I said, TRA is fun, but as a remake it fails.

Another thing, TR1 Unfinished Business changed the stage order. Now it's 2 Atlantean stages and then 2 in Egypt, it used to be the contrary. I read that the remaster now has the order they had originally intended. Well, it makes more sense to me.

Correct. The Atlantean stages you play in Unfinished Business literally take place IMMEDIATELY as you finish TR 1, before the ending cutscene plays. They're essentially an extension to her escape.

The Egyptian stages are her returning months after the end of TR 1 to explore new opened passageways after rain storms hit the area.

I'd actually made a post some time before the release where I had hoped they put them in proper order and included them directly into TR 1. For example, I'd have liked it if you keep your equipment from the end of TR 1 into Unfinished Business. Guess she dropped everything when sliding down the slope. Then it would have been nice to get the final cutscene after Unfinished Business: Atlantis section is complete.

It's a Decent re-imagining of the Original but I do agree it is NOT a REMASTERING. I'd prefer it over all the BS CRybaby Croft that crystal dynamics made.

Wait, that's the order Unfinished Business was originally supposed to be in? I was scratching my head when I loaded it up after beating the main campaign and it went straight into the Atlantean levels first and then the Egypt levels. I figured this was a bug.

It's just an extended escape right after killing Natla and before the final video. The Temple of the Cat is months later.

They took the stages out of order at the last minute to arrange them in order based on difficulty. In that regard it makes sense. Playing the add-on by itself you're dropped into the frying pan (almost literally) at the start of it instead of eased into it more with the Egypt levels.

There was a blurb in the manual to try and compensate for this change saying how she was returning to these places later to explore new areas (true for Egypt). The problem when it came to the Atlantis stages was... well... if you watch the ending cutscene you know why it would be impossible to return at a later date to explore new areas in Atlantis.
ain't no island left to return to, let alone Atlantis after that explosion.

If you're playing Unfinished Business for the first time after finishing TR 1, just pretend you're flashing back slightly in time to when the game was fading out at the end of TR 1 and you're experiencing the rest of the escape... and that she mysteriously dropped all her equipment in the transition from TR 1 to Unfinished Business start!

The only new content that Anniversary has over TR 1 original is the croft manor level.(Instead of it being a tutorial level they made it into a level where you have to solve some puzzles and find your way into Lara's bedroom)

Lara's manor in Anniversary was legit good. Probably the best manor level in the series.

I preferred Legend's manor, primarily due to the relaxing BGM that plays. Challenge-wise, I liked Anniversary the most, plus, there is more to do.

Manor in TRA was basically a mini metroidvania game on its own!
