What *exactly* is racist about Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3?
Could someone please provide me with a fully itemised list detailing *exactly* what in the three original Tomb Raider games is racist. Please provide a detailed description of the content and explanation of how it legitimately argues for the inferiority of a race or suggests that race should be oppressed. Please also explain how the original developers had this intention when implementing these aspects.

The people who made the disclaimer are racist. Why not? That word has lost all meaning by this point. YOU'RE RACIST, YOU'RE RACIST, EVERYONE IS RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So far I'm only seeing the "cannibal tribe". That's just in one game right? The third one? I don't even remember. That disclaiming tars THE ENTIRE SERIES AS DIABOLICALLY RACISTS ♥♥♥♥ CRYSTAL DYNAMICS ♥♥♥♥ ASPYR AND ♥♥♥♥ EMBRACER FOR ALLOWING THIS.
Can you just IMAGINE the trigger warnings that would be needed if they ever do this for Deus Ex? You'd need a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ warning every 5 LINES OF DIALOGUE JESUS CHRIST HELP US

It's always one way when it comes to stereotypes I feel

As a British person, some of the English accents in the game sound very stereotypical

People make stereotypical accents in things like the simpsons with Apu, or Sandy in spongebob with her texan accent

So ya I agree with you that stereotypes aren't really racist, but there's definitely a double standard these days were doing an African or Indian accent is racist, but posh English accent or redneck Texan accent? Yeah that's perfectly fine
I've been living in the UK since 2022 and I have yet to meet someone who speaks like Lara 😂 Even the posh people I got to talk to didn't sound like her... save a few fairly old ladies with way too much money. So yeah, definitely!
I lowkey speak like her if I need to be especially professional. I was raised in Kent though and if you've been here since 22 I'm willing to bet you aren't there. Or if you are its London where no one even speaks English.

If you've paid any attention to the discourse that have become ubiqitious in the past decade, it's not a push to see why they were spooked and put that disclaimer up there.

But they are still doing that in 2024.

Oh good god. Semantic satiation overload...ENOUGH!

How dare white people exist and progress in creativity, hand it all over for 'others' to claim is theirs because they hate their own heritage or lack of creativity.
Truly sickening to see it for a game.
Hyperethnocentrism and platitudes out of control and never a single utterance of gratitude!

You know what I could understand Greeks being legitimately offended by the original devs using all the Roman names for the gods and for some reason including ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Thor, I could see a hot blooded patriotic Grecian being pissed off by that lol

When we're talking about racism semantics are important. It actually *matters* what people mean and intend to say not just how ♥♥♥♥♥'s like CD feel about it.

Oh, they definitely do exist around the home counties, rural south and random places they've decamped to like rural Cheshire and Harrogate.

But yeah, if you've only lived around London/other cities and smaller towns in the UK, you're unlikely to have bumped into too many who speak with a plum in their mouth.

Nothing. The woke activists at Crystal Dynamics put this stupid disclaimer in to, yet again, tell us how we're racist for liking a game from our childhood.
This will be the norm now, they'll have trigger warnings on games that are rated M.

Anyone who thinks that's racist is a complete idiot and putting in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trigger warning is the act of someone who has no balls.

I mean, we agree.

But we live in an age so stupid that Uncle Ben was jettisoned from food packaging so it's not a surprise that black pacific tribesmen who eat people and speak pidgin English elicits a disclaimer.
The level of insanity that human race is going now. Geez!
Vandal Feb 14, 2024 @ 1:45pm
It's racist because the POC that play it say it is, OK!?!? geez (lmao) or maybe bacause woke weirdos are afraid of black ppl?? idk you decide.

I'm glad for the mostly insane responses. I was expecting to provoke some race studies tard into writing a diatribe on the ethics of depicting a white person killing mummies or something insanely stupid like that.
