Why controls so bad???
How hard is it to do same controls like in modern lara games? I completed all 3 modern Lara games but here controls are completely mess :( I cant even grab a ledge.. Why cant she grab automatically? it's not 1997 anymore. Very disappointed on controls. Jump is also unresponsive, she keeps on running

My action button isnt working and pressing back is just making her run to the right. So annoying.

It says press action, but i know for xbox controller its actually RB to grab ledge instead of Y (which it action) might be same for other controllers

i had the same problem and it's not your fault, don't listen to tardos..

The problem is, the action bind in modern control is not the "full real" action button like in tank control. You need to go down the custom bind menu and see a bind called "secondary" and that's this one used to grab things.

sry for my bad english, I'm french

Modern controls don't work, the "back" step and the "action" button don't work. You can't play the game.

1. She needs some steps to make a big jump. She is human after all, she can't fly, she needs to run to make big jumps, so get used to a few steps before big jumps.

2. In the modern controls, secondary button is the one to hold ledges.
Thank you !

Well, you get used to it with practice.. kind of. It's not the controls that usually kill you, it's the camera. It gets stuck time to time, usually when trying to line up a jump. To fix most control issues, they should add a simple strafe feature when running with guns up (camera rotate only with right stick). That would (in my opinion) also allow better management of backflips and jumping backwards. Or something like that, i'm just rambling.

This shows how brain dead of modern games are

Or how about you stop complaining about a game that DID come out in 1996. This is exactly why I hate the newer tomb raider fans, you want everything streamlined and the game to hold your hand for you. Just appreciate the game for what it actually is and what it was back in the 90’s. The games literally took the world by storm

So many people here defend bad controls. (Especially the awful modern controls that were supposed to be one of the main selling points of this remaster collection)

gotta love the old school tank controls, i dont see a problem

This is the reason they should have never attempted to implement modern controls on these games.

The games controls are like crayons used to complete a coloring book and everyone that chooses to play with modern controls is using a pen to color then complains how the pictures don't make sense.
