Level select would be nice.
I'm pretty sure the original games didn't have it, but they also didn't come with over 200 achievements. There are so many level-specific ones and many don't make it clear on which level you need to unlock them. You go look up descripions and realize you missed one two levels ago and all your saves from that one are overwritten now. It's one thing if it's something on a first level, but what if it's in the middle?
I can confirm that, at least in TR2, you can use level skip cheat code to get to a specific level and achievements still work (got that anger management that way). Still, it'd be more convenient to simply choose the level you need. Like, if you beat the game, you unlock this feature.

The PS1 version does have that feature.

The PC version didn't.

You can save every time right at beginning of the level and dont overwrite that save, making your own level select.
Maybe not the best but it works (also dont know if you save for the first lvl then skip the first 15 save rows using the first 15 as your lvl select screen, just thought of that now).

You only have 36 saves also you would have to use that for the added expansion packs you really arent left with alot of free space not to meantion tr1 main a fan patch outright gave you that option

I think Level Select is unlocked by finding ALL THE SECRETS in each game during a single playthrough.
This was a function of the original, although I only saw it for myself in TR3.

They're called achievements for a reason.

I would also quite appreciate a level select just to go back and quickly replay favourite bits.

Just use SAM. It's a much easier method for cheating achievements that require too much effort.

I’ve uploaded a save on Nexus which allows a rudimentary level select. Cheats enabled though

you can use the old cheat to skip levels, it won't block the achievements the problem is I think you can't save despite it won't block achievements I wouldn't risk to save so if you die you have to restart the whole level to try get them.

But I agree, level select would be nice, outfit select too.

36 slots is enough for all main game and expansion levels. 25 would be enough for TR3 + LA, and that has the highest level count among the trilogy.

There's no need to replay previous levels for any of the level-specific missables. Want to get stuff like the achievement for getting the shotgun before grabbing the cogs in Lost Valley? Simply Load Lost Valley save. And if your save for that level is already past that point, simply kill Lara and choose "Restart Level".

Not as quick as a literal level selector, but still removes the need to replay any level you don't want to play, or the need to use level skip cheat.
i would appreciate level select as well. there are some definite favorite nostalic levels that i would like to play every once in a while.

How's there no level selection with such time consuming achievements?!?! :sadpolice:

send in a request to the devs. They already said update is coming so could be more after that.

Well i just create fresh save at beginning o the level and continue saving in next slot. In next lever i overwrite ssecond slot with fresh save at beginning of level two. At the ent of the game i have full list of sves for all chapters.

You can do it this way meanwhile
