original tutorial map

Well, I accidentally deleted the original tutorial map at the beginning of the game. Is there one available anywhere I can download to get it back?

I don't know if this would work, but it might be worth a try: Right click game in list > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache. If that doesn't work and you have a fast connection I suppose you could just delete and download the game again.

Delete the 'Timbuktu' folder from My Docs/SimCity 4/Regions (Keep in mind that this will delete the entire Timbuktu region from the game and discard any changes you've made) and the game will build a new copy from internal resources complete with clean versions of the tutorial cities.

I tried deleted Timbuktu from the regions folder, as instructed above, but it did not regenerate that region. It seems the rebuild would be almost immediate. As a workaround, can I upload it from elsewhere?

After you delete the folder, click on the "..." button on the regions map. Then click on settings and click "Reset Tutorials." This should recreate a new copy of the Timbuktu folder.
