is there a HD graphics mod for SIM CITY4?

I've got burned by EA/Maxis on Simcity 2013 and I'm thinking about purchasing simcity 4 deluxe on steam (a lot of praise and positive comments from official forums of simcity 4)... just wondenrig if there is a HD graphics mod....

simcity 2013 is really pretty but.. that's about it.. and I can't help to notice that simcity 4 is fairly an old game

Mods for HD graphics? I dont think so because of the game's graphic engine. But there are mods which add realistic buildings/structures into the game.

Speaking of which, assuming you are new to SC4, I recommend you getting the Network Addition Mod or NAM. It fixes unfinished pathing in the game. For mod sites, Simtropolis and SC4 Devotion are among the top. Good luck and have fun, SC4 is not an easy game.

There isn't an HD graphics mod per-se, but there are HD texture replacement mods out there to get a more detailed looking SC4 experience. Check out some "Terrain Mods" on the SC4 Devotion LEX. Almost all the more recent ones use HD textures. You can also look up water mods, rock mods, and beach/coast mods to replace water, cliff, and beach textures respectively.

You do need to be in hardware rendering mode to use HD texture mods.
