Building power plants does not solve power outage problem - this game is buggy
I tried building more and more power plants to solve a power outage problem but it didn't work. This game sucks!

Few questions.

Are the areas actually connected to each other? Power does not jump. It needs either power lines or direct connection between built zones.

How is the funding? Are your power plants underfunded, or did some of them get very old and ineffective?

Game is old and it has few bugs, but this is not one of them. Power does work.

yes, everything is connected properly. And the power plants are not underfunded.

Hmm... only thing that I can think right now is that you have excessive amount of power drain from dirty industrial. It can - and will - eat a lot of energy.

Otherwise, I would need to see myself what is going on from the game. Like I said, game does have problem, but during over 11 years with the game, I never encountered a power issue that was actually a bug. Everything is of course possible, but with that rate, that would be extremely rare issue.

Agree with llja....I've been playing this game since forever and have never had a problem getting power where it's needed.

Some screenshots , such as of your city and power usage graphs would help

City got wiped unfortunately, so I'll have to start from scratch unless I can recover it.

Dirty and Manufacturing Industry pulls monumental amount of power if they are too large. When I first played this game, I had that same issue where I was constructing more coal power plants than there was residential and commercial. I found out I was doing it wrong. When I got it right, I never had a power issue ever again. So I am guessing the industry (Dirty and/or manufacturing) expansion was too large.

Yeah, I've started from scratch and things are working out a lot better. It's been a while since I played this game.
