No Road Connection Glitches
I'm trying to start a new city and i zone some small residential, i am getting the "no road connection" notification even when all the zones are facing a street! I am also missing some cities in the main screen. they are just showing up as flat green lands. Is anyone else expirencing these glitches?

The roads the residential are connected to need to also be connected to industry, commercial, or a neighbour connection.
He said he had missing cities as well, decent chance therefore it's not as simple as him not having other zone types...

Did you build that all at once? If so you might have over-burdened the game and caused it to glitch out. I've never had this issue.

The no road connections sometimes show up but if they are connected to a road then waiting a little will cause it to go away and build

i also *think* that that icon will show up if there aren't enough jobs for the residential to build? so maybe try zoning more jobs. Looking at the image it just seems like you spammed large blocks of residental

It would be good to know what you're doing in terms of Industrial, especially if that was your first city in a new region and so there's no neighbouring city with industry to bounce off of. You don't need industry in that city for it to work, though the others could very well be onto something when they suggest you need jobs, and by that it's meant industry as commercial is much more reactionary, dependant upon the residential makeup of the city and neighbours, plus without good education first you just wont get anywhere near enough to be sufficient.

Screenshot literally shows at least half a dozen blocks of commercial, four in the centre left of the screen and two more cut off at the centre top, yet this dude says that lol! No wonder he was so bad with sources in his own thread, he can't check them himself to save his life!

The majority of the visible zoned areas are residential. Either way, saying "Spammed large blocks of residental" isn't even me claiming there is 0 of any other zone...

Never spammed residential and it still does it.
As nice as it is to know what you haven't been doing, it's better to get screenshots showing what you actually have been doing, especially if accompanied by detailed explanations also.

However, with people like Enterprofilenamehere claiming they've never even encountered this in the first place, I don't think the few active people here would be able to answer anyway. Possibly you'll need wait for someone more knowledgeable like MGB or Stracci909 to return.

Pretty weak defence, especially when you originally included the word "just" which strongly implies you think he only did what you're going to say.
You were asked for details of your troubled city, at the very least screenshots of it, instead... you parrot my opinion Stracci909 is likely to know more, is that you asking for a cracker?! Then irrelevantly tell us to make residential connected to commercial even though it clearly was in Eskidead's screenshot and no one else here was likely unaware of it, epic :steamfacepalm: moment.
Alrighty, well, that's a good start, thanks for letting us know, please update what changes after you do try connecting it.
Highly doubtful, if anything, they should be making it more likely they build due to higher associated landvalue.

Is it the trees that doing it

Nope, I added the trees later with the God tool, as I thought 'maybe I can force people to move in if I artificially raise the land value' but nothing ever happened.
