If you really check, entering the command as stated, runs the game at 1600x1200, which looks awful on my 2k display, especially compared to native 2k using dgVoodoo 2 (as per link).
Well, last numbers are for color depth.. and i try it with -CustomResolution:enabled -r2560x1439x64. The game did run.. but can´t really tell if theres a noticiable difference in looks. Ingame settings 16 and 32 remains unsellected that means in theory that 64 is in did running with the custom resolution also. I guess if the game doesn´t crash you can play it that way as well. XD
When you enter invalid settings, it may look like it's working, but IT IS NOT!!!
Seriously, the internet is full of people who talk crap but have not got a clue what they are doing, anyone following the instructions here is literally ruining their game experience, it looks terrible when you have such a high res display but squash it into a lower resolution. I am just trying to avoid people falling into that trap, but if you want to ignore someone who's a prolific SC4 modder who knows the game inside-out and works with the NAM team and manages RTMT, (I think a decent 'CV'), then so be it. The solution is in my previous post, my game works lovely at 2k resolution, but a Wrapper is NOT optional.
Geez, look at the log file SC4 generates, it'll tell you the game isn't running in 2K. all the evidence is there, if you just choose to see it. Find this in the same folder as the SC4 .exe, the file is named MYCOMPUTERNAME-config-log.txt, where the first bit will be whatever name you have given your computer in Windows.
