NetworkAddonMod not working

I have tried for days and days to install NetworkAddonMod without success. I have watched numerous youtube videos and videos from Simtropolis, followed directions, and still can't get it to work. I got a fan made building, a football stadium, installed that and it works fine.
I know I am doing something wrong, or not doing something, but can't figure it out. Please help this old guy with computer deficiency!
Any help would be appreciated....and small step by step instructions, please.

I can try to help. I've got several questions to see where you're at.

1. Have you installed an old version of NAM before and still have it installed? Previous versions have to be manually removed. NAM 39 is the current version.
   
   
2. Did you run the installer? It's not one of the mods that you can just drop into the plugins folder. Installer should be called NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version40.bat
   
   
3. Did you get something called "4 GB Patch?" It should come inside the download. If you can't find it the link is here[ntcore.com]. It is necessary.
   
   
4. After installing when you go to the plugins folder in C:\Users\(username)\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins do you have a folder there called Network Addon Mod? Should be there if the install was successful.

Let's start there. I know I've had to try installing some mods over and over, then suddenly it works and I'm not even sure what I did differently. Other times I just came back to them after some time passes, started all over, then got it to install correctly.

Hi Sam. The only one I've tried is NAM 39. I did run the installer, I think. Not sure of the version40.bat though. I did get the 4 GB Patch but not sure where to put it. I put these into c/Programfiles(*86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/SimCity 4 Deluxe/plugins Everything is in this plugins folder.

I used the new NAM 40 and it worked first time! Thanks Sam.

Oh good. I was checking the current version which said NAM 39, but the installer says "40" so that was a little confusing. Glad it worked out
