How to play full game if owned?

I installed this and played as a demo, then installed the Steam version of Half-Life 2 (original). It does not pick it up automatically, what do I have to do to play the full game?

That is a good question I too would like an answer to.

Apparently RTX version is only 2 sectors... Not whole game and no one knows when the full RTX remake will be finished...

You wait for it to be finished and released. This is the demo and for some reason they are running it through the same AppID as the intended full game/mod.

This is just a demo, mate. The full release isn't out.

I'm starting to think they have even started on the other chapters yet.

It doesn't work like Quake 2 RTX, where buying the base game unlocks all levels, it's just a 2 level demo at the moment
