Huh? There is controller support. Check your game settings, "Mouse" tab, "Enable gamepad".

right click on half life 2 rtx , go to properties , gamepad , set steam input to forced off

launch big picture mode, launch half life 2 rtx from there.


this works for portal rtx for me as well

It’s a disgrace.

There is a dirty workaround though.
Disable Steam input for the game and enable gamepad support in game.
You won’t be able to use big picture features and you’ll still have to grab a keyboard for in-game menu navigation, but at least you can use a controller for main gameplay.
