Half-Life 2 RTX

Half-Life 2 RTX

Radeon users shouldn't bother...?
I know it's Nvidia funded/co-developed, so Radeon support of any kind is left out for obvious reasons.

I wasn't expecting great performance on Portal RTX with my Radoen 6950 XT, but in that game at just 1080P I saw GPU usage barely at 7% and my FPS was 1. Yes, 1.

Radeon's have hardware RT, and Nvidia shills love to remind us all the time it's useless, but the hardware is there so why in Portal (and I assume in this) it seems to be intentionally coded to under utilise the card (7% remember). If the card could run at full speed, might actually get into double digit FPS at least.

Probably no point, i'm team red downloading it anyway. Just to say i played it.
80 gb and i'm 100% sure it won't go past 3 fps 'cause of Nvidia's gimmicks lmfao. not gonna bother. also it's funny how all other triple A titles perform really well on amd hardware with ray-tracing, yet it's only Nvidia's RTX Remix that runs poorly. i think that's self-explanatory.

To be honest, I don't like the RTX lighting anyway. It looks like someone is always pointing a 20k lumen LED flashlight in your face.

I just want the models
Not seeing the issue
Get yourself an nvidia card, and use it as your kvm switch on linux.
Im about to download it rn and test it with a 9070 XT. Lets see if RDNA 4 can be able to make this at least playable and i will try if you an inject FSR4 too (probably wont happen tho)

imagine still buying a radeon card lol

9070 XT is the best bang for the buck at the moment. I bought a 4090 last year or I would be all over a 9070 XT.

Why would anyone buy an AMD GPU? LOL.
minimum must have a 40 or 50 series card. it's sponsored by nvidia, don't bother with amd radeon cards.

I tried it on my 7900XT 20GB with a Ryzen 9950X. It runs fine on 1440p, but I have no frame of reference to compare it to. I forgot how stressful the Ravenholm level is.
