Anya's pregnancy
if anya was pregnant, how come her belly didn't grow throughout the course of the game? Is it simply because of technical limitations, or was there another reason for it?

I don't think it's that big of a deal, because the game is still really good... But i'm just curious.

Some women dont show bumps till late pregnancy or none at all.
Also aren't they all also kinda malnourished?
Both would be valid reasons outside of potentional techinical limitations

Maybe the baby died with all that Moutwashing.

I just read that she probably lost the baby prior to the game's events, with Anya already grappling with the aftermath of her trauma. This makes a lot more sense.

Could be. The baby did die, but it's never explained what killed it.

i think it was a narrative choice where because we play as jimmy through most of the game it kinda shows us he's ignoring the consequence of his action like he doesnt even bother
to acknowledge shes pregnant

I don't know, he does have hallucinations of the baby. I guess it depends on how many months they were trapped, if it's a few months only the belly wouldn't show.

Probably because it would ruin the reveal of her pregnancy by showing a bump

they could've explained it by making jokes about her being fat, or big boned (by jimothy), like in portal 1-2

Either the developers didn't want to design Anya's model with her pregnancy showing or like others players believe since we're playing as Jimmy most of the game he disregards Anya and the baby and refuses to acknowledge her pregnancy.

It's very possible she killed the fetus a while after they discovered the mouthwash. There's a cutscene where she's reading the label, and the camera focuses on, "Kills 99.9% of germs." Frequent consumption of the space food packets and the mouthwash would've killed the fetus, and then herself.

That would've caused her belly to swell a little but not with noticeable bumps in the long run.
