Controller Support?

Is this like the same PC game as on the console? I loved this on xbox, is the PC version stripped down with all the features removed? I use a standard 360 controller on PC, did anyone buy this game to know if its stripped down or the full version with controller support?

few years back i made Hitman 2-4 (SIlent Assassin, Contracts, Blood Money) cfgs with gamepad support and uploaded somewhere on steam and hitman forums, try to google for that, or i may try to search for my configs in backups i have somewhere on hdd.
However you will still need to map dpad to keyboard arrows and LT RT to left and right mouse buttons with external software, actually i coded simple launcher for hitman 2-4 that does this mapping transparent, without need to use pinnacle and xpadder, need to search for it as well.

This would be great if anyone finds the link!

What? There is no such version as stripped down or full with controller support.
This is an old game. The fact that it's released on Steam doesn't mean it got 9879696589 new features. Barely any old game does it. This one isn't exception - It's a release of the same game you can still buy on disc. No new features.

To both of you - can't you read store page descriptions?

hes right you know. 2002 games dont get updates, find a patch online like me

little update to that - now there is an xinput plus which allows to bind dpad and lt-rt and even guide as extra buttons 11-17 in old games so you dont need extra bind tools now.

Been a long time! Thanks for the reply! Sounds pretty techy which is good, is that in the game now that it supports xinput? Forget even what loads this game, was it dosbox or something old?

xinput plus has wrapper fake dinput dll that actually polls gamepad via xinput but game polls it as dinput. so basically it adds xinput support to dinput games and allows lt and rt pretend like normal buttons or different axes, also it allows to rebind hell lot of buttons and even bind virtually (with shifting) up to 32 virtual dinput buttons.
