Cheats for Steam version

How can I get the console to work for the Steam version so I can activate cheats?

Actually, you can. I figured it out.
Open Steam folder > steamapps > commons > Hitman Contracts > open Hitman Contracts configuration settings doc > add "EnableConsole 1" and "EnableCheats 1"
Now you can open the console and enter cheats.

Silly person, cheats adds replayability if you try to make diferent challanges on yourself (use the spawn weapons cheat and then procced to discard them except for some weird one and use it to beat the level. Or to create diferent situations by alarming guards before actually starting a level.

Funny how some people are not only ignorant of that but also think "Cheats = person is uncapable"

Also, the developers placed them, something that newer games seems to forget.

I think you open up the cheat menu by pressing Shift and Esc at the same time.

NOW, you won't see the EnableConsole 1 & EnableCheats 1 in your file but add it. Then in game press the tilde key to bring up the menu.
