How to Unlock DLC?

Store is clearly closed and isn't reopening as far as I care, anyone able to further explain how to edit the save-file for the DLC cars?

Or if someone is nice enough, maybe do it for me? Sorry to ask, but I really want those cars! (I've bought them before, but can't redeem them)

I don't understand how they can offer the "Ultimate Box" without the "Ultimate" contents. One of the highlights of buying the game was to get the Toy Cars and other vehicles I have wanted to play with since it came out. This is disappointing. Having to do it like that is good only if you have experience.

I have experience, but the instructions don't really work... I've tried adding the owner of the tutorial to get advice, but no avail... Really hope someone can help me out :)

Hey i guessed you have sorted it by now... but incase you didnt i used David_aeon's advise in another thread.... its about 3 posts up from the bottom of page 1.. (worked for me about 25mins ago)

I didn't want to use another save, I wanted my own, I figured it out.

Yeah, I got it working, now trying to find a way to edit the .exe and have it save so I don't need to use CE everytime.

I had already bought it, I wasn't going to re-buy the same cars that we should have gotten anyways..

yep thats for the game but as ea servers are down you cannot get access to the dlc cars thro the ingame shop

That's the version I just bought and I have access to everything: toy cars, boost cars, etc. It says they're unavailable in the shop, but I can see and select them in the garage. Didn't need to edit anything, it just worked.

burnout paradise ultimate edition contains all of the DLC. its not "legally purchasing the dlc" in this case, its more like EA restricting access to something youve already bought

thats weird cos hen i bought it i could see the dlc cars but not use them as there was a no entry sign on them all...

The Ultimate Box does not contain all of the DLC. From another thread:

The Ultimate Box included a bunch of updates, Party Pack, bikes, some additional cars, and a day/night time cycle.

There's a bunch of additional DLC not included in The Ultimate Box for which the in-game store has closed. You can now obtain this DLC either through Amazon or by modifying your save file.

The Ultimate Box was originally intended to be a highlight release of Burnout's first installment on the PC, and so included all updates and DLC up to that point. More DLC was introduced after the release of The Ultimate Box, and this didn't make it in. Some of this DLC was released for consoles only, like Big Surf Island and Cops & Robbers, and some of this DLC was released as typical DLC that you had to pay for, such as the Time Savers Pack, Toy Cars pack, Legendary Cars pack and such. This DLC was sold through the in-game store for a while, but that went offline about half a year ago (I think).

The only way you can acquire these DLC cars is through either buying a code for them through Amazon (this is a more recent option) or by modifying your save game, which is a bit of a complex effort, but it's free.
