The dramatic crash camera was the primary claim to fame, the key feature of the Burnout series. If anything you'd expect people to be asking how to make the crashes longer.
I just recently started playing Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012), and I had forgotten how it was designed to be a spiritual successor to Burnout Paradise. Once I remembered that, it changed the way I played NFS: Most Wanted 2012, and thus the way I enjoyed it.
You cant ram with the cops because the slightest touch = Takedown
You cant annoy the cops by ramming traffic because the slightest touch = Crashcam
I've played Burnout for an tremendous amount of time and after awhile, a lot of the crashes are exactly the same. It got tiring to look at a 6 second crash against like a wall or something. It's very objective if you like it and for me also very much based on how I feel while playing the game. This is why I like the option to toggle.
Then again, some don't get bored of the slowmo crashes at all. It's really just subjective.
Exactly, it should be possible to turn this ♥♥♥♥ off.
Burnout Paradise crashcam slows down to a crawl to really zoom in on the action, which looks impressive and cool at first but it gets tiresome after a while and really drags down the pace (in a racing game!). I really love Burnout 2, which just had your car crashing and violently flying all over the place in full speed. Not only does that feel more shocking and abrupt but IMO it keeps the pacing flow much better, which is why i wouldve liked to see a similiar setup in Paradise.
Question was answered. It's either the mod mentioned earlier where you can toggle it or it's slow-mo crashes. There is no alternative unfortunately.
I do not care
