No, they don't make a bad game good but dated, terrible graphics do make a (once) good game bad. Oh well, maybe some day they will make an HD remaster with servicable visuals; until then this game is going into the un-install pile (never to be booted again).
P.S. You have do disable the ingame AA in order to get SweetFX to work.
I think it looks pretty good with it. Here's a screenshot:

Oh nice! Thanks; I'll give that a shot!
--Update--
I disabled Anti-Aliasing and then used SweetFX Configurator V1.5.1 (http://sweetfx.thelazy.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/SweetFX-Configurator_standalone_with_SweetFX_1.5.1.7z) to enable SMAA, FXAA, and LumenSharpen.
The game will get as far as 'Connecting to Paradise City Servers' before it crashes to a white screen and dies a miserable death. Removing SweetFX allows the game to get past the server login crash.
Well, it was worth a shot. Thanks anyways.
Are you sure you installed it correctly?
There are a lot of video tutorials etc on how to use SweetFX properly.
> NFS: Hot Pursuit
played it just now, Hot Pursuit looks like a game from 1998 and the cars handle like drunk elephants on ice. by far the worst 3 euros I ever spent
Sure, if you consider a GTX 770 ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Sure it's not a Titan, but there's not a game on the market that I can't run on ultra
You're joking right? Burnout Paradise could easily be mistaken for a Playstation 1 game. In contrast both Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted look photo-realistic, not like some low res console port. Besides, I wasn't asking for your opinion on the game; I didn't say it wasn't fun... if you can ignore the pitifully ancient VooDoo 2 looking graphics.
I have the answer to my original question, and that answer is no; you cannot improve the godawful graphics in this game so if you don't like old school retro games (and graphics) then you should just pass and save yourself $4.
*facepalm*
Yea, maybe PSOne is a stretch but its certainly no better looking than a 14 year old PS2 game ;)
logically pacman or CS 1.6 must be some if the worst games on the planet
I didn't spend $2000 on parts for a gaming rig to play Pacman.
Cheap. Accessable. DRM proof.
Although not PC elitist d*chebag proof
You do realite hot pursuit looks like ♥♥♥♥, the textures are a joke, lightning is an abomination of its own dominion, the car dmg models are funny as ♥♥♥♥, maps or levels are made in 5 min.
And on top of all that the driving experience, holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ never in my life have I seen a so badly executed driving game.
Btw;
I played Burnout Paradise when it came out and the graphic were all right, nothing special.
But the game is a lot of light years ahead of hot potato.
And i played most wanted long time ago, I recall nothing about that game so i can't comment on graphic, but that means it sure as hell wasn't photorealistic.
