More games like this?

Having a lot of fun with this game, the NFS games don't even come close. Is there anything else I can play that is like this? I already tried out GRID 1&2, DiRT, Blur etc. only GRID 1 came close.

I don't know why you would have expected any of those games to be anything like Burnout Paradise. Burnout Paradise is a sort of open racer where you explore and start arcade-like events wherever you go. GRID and DIRT are blended arcade/simulation racers, much more serious affairs with set, contained events. Blur is a kart racer with weapons along the lines of Mario Kart (but better).

If you want something like Burnout Paradise, The Crew is basically the same idea on a grander scale but with a more fractured moment-to-moment experience (I hope you like cutscenes) and a lot less fun. So check that out, I guess. It's in beta right now, and it's pretty easy to get a key. Try the game's forums here on Steam.

Have you noticed GRID 2 is a lot more simulator-esque than its predecessor? Not sure why they decided to do that, makes the game worse in my opinion.

I sorta agree with internisus. I don't think any game is like Burnout Paridise. It's a sandbox kinda game, but with cars.

I guess that's what I was ultimately looking for.

I liked Blur, but I only tried it for a few minutes. The only other racing games like Burnout Paradise would be Burnout 3 and Revenge (didn't try the others), but they're not open-world like this one (but have more action due to the racers being confined to a specific route.)

it's not open world, but fun like hell!

Fuel is a very large open world racing game, but don't know if it can be purchased anymore on the PC.
