Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Steps for troubleshooting disconnects from online servers
I need help troubleshooting disconnects from online servers:

My 10yr old son was playing some god awful terrible driving game saying "Look how much FUN IT IS!!!!!". He asked me to play and after 20 minutes of horrible, I kept asking "what else" and he'd show me how we could wrap a small European car around a tree or some other next level boring. I had this 'grumpy cat' look on my face and said, "Son, I'm going to show you the way of the world. You need BURNOUT.".

I couldn't find my old CD so I bought two copies on Steam and... UNBELIEVEABLE TO SEE THIS GAME STILL AROUND AND RUNNING!!!! Kudos to Steam, Origin, EA, and the players for keeping it alive. This one's a classic. My son's been cackling like a madman for a week now. What a way to spend the end of summer huh???

Anyways, we're both getting disconnects from the online servers and considering there's extra variables of age, Steam, Origin, EA, there's a lot going on and it's not just normal networking to diagnose. I was wondering what troubleshooting worked for you in the past, IE, maybe my Origin Client needs to be rolled back a click, or maybe this just the way of life for playing Burnout in 2022?

Specs of the setup: my son and I are on separate capable computers, Ryzen 2600, Ryzen 5600x, 16GB each, RX 570, RX 6500X, one computer wired, speedtest.net=100mps down, 12up, other is wireless, 95mps down, idk 10 up? Both computers drop regardless of host or client status with the game session, but seem to play alright with other multiplayer games such as Minecraft. I'm running a ping monitor on the wired one now, so far sent 1200 packets to www, 0 loss. I'm stumped. Any thoughts?

TLDR; What areas should I look at while troubleshooting host / client drops from Burnout online servers? Thank you in advance :)

The servers have been shut down. You can't play The Ultimate Box online anymore.
If you want to play Burnout Paradise online, you'd have to get the Remastered Edition.
