Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

TIP: Don't buy the remaster, stick with the original.
Original:

- Available on Steam
- Mods
- DLC is being ported by modders. Cars and map are already done.

Remaster:

- Origin exclusive.
- Strong chance it will use Denuvo.
- As is the case with pretty much every other remaster of this kind, it will probably be a downgrade from the original PC release.

Don't be stupid.

Honestly don't get why ANYONE would buy this so called 'remaster'. I only played the original game on Steam last January and fully enjoyed. Paying £35 for slightly prettier graphics and some tiny island dlc isn't worth it at all. Not to mention this Origin-exclusivity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If anything, this 'remaster' should be free for people who own it on PC, like the Skyrim and Bioshock remasters were given out for free to existing owners.

Original:

- A lot of the mods are out-of-date.
- Big Surf Island has not been completely modded and the Vanity Pack is incredibly out-of-date.
- No online cops and robbers.

Remaster:
- Big Surf Island.
- Online Cops and Robbers.
- Up-to-date.
- Will likely get its own mods.

Don't be ignorant and give people only half the picture. Make your own purchasing decisions, people.

I also want to mention that the Steam version still uses Origin. The Steam version is basically a launcher for the Origin version of the game. You still log in with an Origin account, and all of the multiplayer is done through Origin's servers. So this "original" version is still using Origin anyway.

I never listen to other people, I always make my own decisions and I have already made my choice... buying it Xbox one march 16th and when it is also released on PC sometime this year.

Plus, they is nothing wrong with Origin. Its just another platform to play games from.

Denuvo is actually a plus for me. i get to read all the QQ from the pirates.

I can confirm that the remaster does have better graphics than the original release.

How can they be out-of-date when most of them were created long after the game became abandonware? You're not making sense.

No it doesn't, get your facts straight.

A considerably worse platform, but yeah.

No you didn't. The remaster isn't even out yet, cut the crap.

I used the pictures they supplied on the website, plus mine, so get your head out of your ass, and look at the difference.

You are aware that promotional screenshots are often edited, right? I understand you're slow but surely you can't be this gullible as to judge a game by a pre-release screenshot.

Even if they weren't, the game isn't out yet. A million things can happen between now and the release date.

TL:DR until the game is out, you're talking out of your *ss.

I am aware that screenshots can be edited, but I am trying to show people claiming that the remastered is just the PC graphics, which it is not. If they were to downgrade this now then they would be morons. The graffiti is the greatest example of this graphics change. Obiviously you won't be picking it up, so what do you care?
AlexKVideos1 Feb 20, 2018 @ 1:57pm
and I guess you consider something a downgrade now when it has better graphics, and all of the DLC, weird.

Until the game is out you have no room to talk, unless you have a direct line to Criterion (don't even try it). Downgrading graphics at the last moment isn't unheard of, in fact it's common practice. The only recent EA title that haven't been subject to this is Battlefield 1. Other titles like Mass Effect Andromeda, Need For Speed Payback, even freaking The Sims 4 have all been downgraded, some quite severely.

I most likely won't. I don't know anything for sure either, but EA has created a pattern that can't be ignored. Denuvo, downgraded graphics and poor optimization aren't certain, but they are highly probable.
