How similar is this to Burnout Revenge?

Hey,

The only Burnout title I have ever played is Burnout Revenge. I really liked it a lot, but I've been told that it's gameplay is disimilar to the other entries in the serious. Revenge is very arcade, whereas the other titles are a closer to regular racing games. Is this true? How does Burnout Paradise compare to Burnout Revenge?

the main difference between others is that it's 'open world', but i doubt the racing action itself is that different

Burnout games have always been mental fun arcade games focused as much around crashing as actually racing.

Think of this one as all the best bits from the old games with a big open world. It even has the revenge takedowns from burnout revenge.

And the best bit, you can crash your way around the entire city in showtime mode :)
