Help! Strategies for mushroom jungle?
Can someone give me tips on passing the mushroom jungle?
I found that I can go the farthest when equipped with power shake (glass cannon for material gnomes) + shovel (+15 wood on death)
I tend to focus on woodcutters, huntress and 1 cook,
I dislike beavers because they don't concentrate attacks against one hex.
Because of poison mushrooms and lizards, I don't expect any of my units to live long, so I don't see any reason to shop for upgrades.
By the time I make it to lowest levels, I'm getting like 40 bats, and I can't keep up with the food.
Any suggestions?

The poison on the lizards is the real killer in my mind, particularly if you don't get a shop or get the right roll on the shop - thick skin is crucial, as is range, but with each item on purchasable on a single 'roll' of the shop, it's can be hard to feel fully equipped (I've unlocked the whole tech tree as well, except for the very top item) to get through the second part in order to get to the second phase of the boss. Can't even imagine what's been cooked up for the third level. Ironically (maybe not...) but it's super satisfying at this point blowing through the first cave (which I found SO hard initially, partly because I was focusing on the wrong 'type' of wood [the hopping trees, instead of going for the bushes]) to grind for claws... Sorry I can't offer any advice to help - but I'm also in the same boat...

passed all game.
tips:
get enough food and don't waste round in deep room , get boss room and defeat it in least rounds.
don't worry about food in boss room , you need to collect food in early trip.
I only use 3 round to defeat last boss( 240HP ) , so you just need to prepare 3 round foods

Literally just got through both second phase of the cave/boss, and then the final version (finishing the cave) - I took in the shovel, propeller, and cactus shake. The upgrades that bore the best fruit were thick skin, which was super crucial for the lizards/poison (nullifying both the poison and the gas from the mushrooms), as were damage upgrades (and productivity), but one upgrade that was surprisingly effective that I tried on a whim was the upgrade for doing more damage with more gnomes around you. I ended up getting a good number of materials, meaning I could buy a lot - maybe just a good roll, both overall and individual scenarios/shop trips, but that's how I did it...

This is a good strategy for the final boss room. 6 woodcutters with glass cannon makes short work of the boss so long as you don't get unlucky with the pyramid.

Getting down to the boss room is another matter. I'm finding I need to have both a cook and a batgnome but it's still tricky.
