Need some guidance

Hello havent spoken here in a while,

Made it to Sector 62 and was wondering what the best kind of loadouts and ideas i should be going for, just unlocked the recon specialist and found myself at a somewhat brick wall where nothing i do is helping me in any major way, im one tile away from finishing base 4, just unlocked synth T8 and have gotten every crew to at least mastery 1 (apart from recon) (i havrent spent one of the points as i want to save up to get 2 and buy one of the btter upgrades) I just was wondering if theres any meta build that could help me or if im forgetting some big thing that would really boost my progress, thanks a bunch.

Dish charge 3
Missile 4

Bulk 4
Dodge Shield

my warps are all pretty high level as well as my computing, i can get my warp drive core charge down to like 8 minutes each, should i be abusing this to boost my warp gain?#

It's one of these things where it's been so long since I've been there that I forget exactly what the deal is there. BACK UP YOUR SAVE!

You've got a mix of lvl 3 and 4 weapons. Are the lvl 4 ones getting all the upgrades? If they are you should make the others lvl 4 too. Also, maybe try the continuous generator. I remember a point where that was required. Also, I'd probably swap out the missile launcher for a charge laser specced for global range boost or something else laser flavoured. Are you specced out to maintain permanent laser boost? If not, probably should!

Other than that, the most sensible advice is to take a run at all the individual ways you can improve yourself again. I remember I let research fall behind and gained a lot when I spent a little time focussing on that.

my level 4 weapons can get to about 8/10 of the upgrade slots if i go max out on all my salvage production, doing a research run rn to see if i can get anything but i dont really see the bonuses, i dont have any new shards to collect so that one is practically useless right now, my void power generation is great and so is my research speed itself. i just dont see why research is such an important thing to focus on?

yeah you're probably right, what would you reccomend to focus on first within the research?

I don't know what your research looks like just now, do you still have a bunch of different bonuses in each research? A screenshot would really help jog my memory, tbh.

I have no clue how to share the screenshot but ive only got the infinite ones left

Alright, with the infinite ones left the first one to buff is the bottom option in the right most section as it buffs your gain on all the others. Then I suppose it's up to you!

The graphic in this guide will be helpful, show you all the things to turn on while you're doing research focus.

generally any time I feel like I hit a wall, I cycle through focusing on each aspect of the game. So do a research focus build until I can't really progress that, then a base focus build and so on. Often taking the time to cycle through all of those things can really help you push. Also the farther in the game you are the more you need to focus on doing 1 thing at a time.

Maybe research is falling behind since you said you not focused on it much so try doing a research run and if it is you should see the numbers jump up pretty rapidly. If it not then research is wall blocked and you should focus on other stuff first and come back later when you get a few wave higher.

Also don't forget to cycle though base, warp and synth systems as well as upgrade your reactor by pumping void power max so you can buy void power upgrades.

As for your ship load out I think you should be thinking about switching out a dis charge for a bomb or charge laser for the range buff and nuking power.
